Post Fourth Of July Cleanse

Post Fourth Of July Cleanse

Happy Belated Birthday America! We hope everyone enjoyed their Independence Day with friends, family, and fireworks.

When it comes to Fourth of July some of the favorite festivities that come to mind include fireworks, barbeques, and drinking. It would be almost un-American if you didn't partake in one of these. Dieting during the holidays isn't easy and we know how hard it is to stick to it during a day like the Fourth. So if you like many others cheated on your diet with either barbequed meats, bread, and bubbly alcohol, its okay...

But now it's time to get back on track to shedding those pounds quickly and effectively. This can be hard to do, especially after overindulging on delicious foods. Dieting can be delicious too. But first, we need to rid your body of all those processed and heavy foods swelling up your belly.

Time to Cleanse!

One of the first steps to cleansing your body is to drink plenty of water. Water is the all-natural way to flush things out of your system while also keeping you hydrated. But one of the many problems people have with drinking water

is the bland taste. After drinking way too many sugary drinks and sweet alcohol, we're sure your taste buds want something delicious. So add something to make your water tasty for you to enjoy.

Add Fruits to Your Water

No need to add those artificially flavored syrups to your all natural water, just add slices of your favorite low-calorie fruits. Add citrus, blueberries, watermelon, cucumber, or mint to your drink and notice the difference throughout the next few days. This is known commonly as detox water.

Detox water is said to help you lose weight fast. This is largely due to water's ability to keep you feeling full while also removing toxins and other matter from your body. Water also prevents you from over-eating as well. Do you know your body confuses the feeling of hunger with the feeling of thirst? If you are ever unsure if your body needs water or food, take a big gulp of water and wait 15 minutes. If the feeling subsides, your body needs more water. If it persists, then look for a healthy source of food to help nourish that tummy. Stay healthy and hydrated with the refreshing taste of your own homemade detox water.

Try Kombucha

It's not a naughty word, just a delicious fizzy fermented tea that has become increasingly popular over the years. Hipsters have been drinking these bubbly drinks as a form of detox "before it became popular." For those who have no idea what the heck I'm talking about and where to find it, check out the produce department at your nearest grocery store.

According to the Seeds of Health, Kombucha is said to have originated from China and it was first recorded in 221 BC during the Tsin Dynasty. They called it the Tea of Immortality. Unfortunately, it cannot give your internal life but it does have some great health benefits according to many kombucha enthusiasts. It can help detoxify your body, aids digestion, boost the immune system, aids cholesterol reduction, aids weight loss and improve athletic performance.

Doctors Design Herbal Cleanse Tea

Post Fourth Of July Cleanse

Though this tea is initially used to relieve constipation, this mild laxative can help move things along in your weight loss plan. Purging, as some may like to put it, helps promote weight loss by helping you go...

Try it out and notice the difference after the first day! Not only can this help kick-start your weight loss plans, but it helps keep your colon healthy.

Next Day Breakfast: Fruits

This may be an easy way to kick-start your plans unless you have a sensitivity or allergy to certain fruits. The next morning after you've over-indulged, eat some form of delicious fruits alongside water. Try berries, bananas, and citrus fruit to help your body recover. This may also help move things along in your digestive tract while also providing antioxidants needed to boost your immune system.

Cardio, Cardio, Cardio

It is important you try and keep a consistent exercise regimen, even after breaking your diet. Burning those extra calories are a must to keep your body from storing the food as fat. Try jogging around your neighborhood, running on a treadmill, cycling on a bike, whatever you need to get yourself up and moving. Remember, sweat is just the tears of diminishing fat. So keep moving for a better you!

Eat Plenty of Fiber and Vegetables

Be sure your next few meals are healthy and full of delicious colors. It is okay for you to utilize your leftovers if need be. But cut out the extra barbeque sauce and fried foods. Use your grilled chicken and lean beef with non-starchy vegetables and a small portion of brown rice. Or just skip the rice and load up on those veggies. Be sure to add plenty of broccoli, carrots, peppers, cauliflower, eggplants, tomatoes and more. No potatoes or corn! Add green beans and cabbage to your meals to feel full and healthy.
